Dubai Crown Prince Meets Pilot Smit After Flight Incident

Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited Indian flydubai pilot Captain Smit Machchhar following the serious cockpit incident on a flight bound for Tel Aviv.

Captain Smit was injured during the incident but continued to act to protect the passengers and crew on board. His actions drew international attention after the aircraft was brought to safety.

During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan praised Captain Smit for his courage, responsibility and concern for human life. The Crown Prince also conveyed appreciation from the UAE leadership for the pilot’s actions.

The meeting has further highlighted Captain Smit’s role in the incident and the recognition he has received from leaders in both the UAE and India. PM Narendra Modi has also publicly praised the Indian pilot for his bravery.
