US President Donald Trump, during his address at the United Nations General Assembly, again claimed that his administration had played a role in ending eight conflicts around the world. He included the India-Pakistan conflict among the conflicts he said his administration helped bring to an end.

Trump also mentioned conflicts involving Cambodia and Thailand, Kosovo and Serbia, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Israel and Iran, as well as the Gaza conflict. He presented the efforts as part of his administration’s approach to resolving international conflicts.

On India and Pakistan, Trump has previously claimed that US involvement helped bring about a ceasefire between the two countries. India, however, has disputed the characterization of US mediation, maintaining that the cessation of military action was reached through direct communication between the two sides.

Trump’s latest remarks at the UN have once again brought attention to the US role in the India-Pakistan ceasefire and his broader claims about resolving international conflicts. The statement comes as global attention remains focused on regional security and diplomatic efforts involving India and Pakistan.
